If you want to cook cheap, nutritious dishes for your family which will go down with a wow, read these recipes! Try them and tell us.  Add your own.  In the future Wilbury Community wants to create a recipe book, if possible with photos, items priced and the whole recipe costed for 4 or 6 people.  So if you have any ideas please send them to wilbury.cafe@gmail.com.

Read the recipes here.

Wilbury Community Cafe

We hold a monthly free cafe in St Thomas’ church hall, Bedford Road, opposite Tesco Express.  Our excellent team of volunteers organise different things each month including:

  • Free cuppas and scrummy cakes (every time!)

  • Free fun activities for everyone, including arts and crafts, knitting, games and special workshops like music, dance and poetry.

  • A free bike surgery on alternate months, free book stall, “pennies and pounds” stall and school uniform exchange.

  • Chats with local councillors and useful info from local charities and organisations.

The cafe is the first Saturday of every month, except August, when we don’t hold a cafe. Check out our news page for the latest info on the cafe!

Summer Fair and Winter Fair

In July we hold a Summer Fair at St Thomas' hall, Bedford Road, where local businesses and charities can hold stalls, and we have lots of fun activities such as plant-pot painting and dance workshops.

We hold another Fair in December, which is a great chance to buy handmade Christmas cards and gifts, and make your own decorations and wreaths.  Plus there's the option of Christmassy fancy dress!

If you're a local business or charity and would like to have a stall, do drop us a line.
